this weekend i met up with the girl singing above, debra. we had never met before, but have a mutual friend named joe. she was in tokyo on business this weekend and thought it would be fun to meet up.

along with some other people visiting tokyo, we headed out for a typical japanese evening. we hit an izakaya in shimokitazawa for a nomihodai (all-you-can-drink) and some cheap japanese bar food. then, we headed to shibuya for more drinking and karaoke. it was a really fun time.

it’s pretty random meeting people this way, but i love it. since being here, i’ve been introduced to a few people visiting tokyo - and it’s always been fun. it’s cool to make a new friend and show them this city i love.
